Gennell R. Masters

Gennell Runion Masters, 81, went to be with the Lord October 9, 2012 at McCall Hospice House. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Ben T. and Mentie Turner Runion, she was a retired employee of Liberty Life Insurance Company and a member of Greer First Baptist Church. Surviving are her loving husband of 59 years, Joe Masters of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Kim Masters of Cayce; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Don Teague of Greer; two sisters, Betty Owens of Taylors and Margaret Treadway of Greenville; and three dearly loved grandchildren, Rachel Robinson and her husband, BJ, Joshua Teague and James Masters. Mrs. Masters was predeceased by three brothers, James Runion, Carroll Runion and H.J. Runion and two sisters, Kate Patterson and Beatrice Charping. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Rick Ezell and Mrs. Dottie Bryson. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Honorary escort will be The Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
