Jeffery Craig Lamar

Funeral Services for Mr. Jeffery Craig Lamar, 72, who entered into rest June 6, 2017, will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from the First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Dr. Randy Cooper officiating. Interment in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Lamar was a life-long resident of Belvedere and a 1962 graduate of North Augusta High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta where he served as a deacon and former Sunday School teacher. Mr. Lamar was a US Air Force Veteran of Vietnam having received a Purple Heart and member of the Jesse C. Lynch Memorial American Legion Post #71. He loved all things North Augusta and was a member of "Cally's Great Eight" and the 1961 North Augusta High School Championship Football Team. Mr. Lamar retired from Industrial Sales and currently worked during visiting hours at Posey Funeral Directors. He always had a kind word of encouragement for those he met.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ann H. Lamar; two sons, Brannon Craig Lamar, North Augusta, SC and William Derrick Lamar (Emily), Beech Island, SC; three grandchildren, David Foss Lamar, Avery Louise Lamar and William Jackson Lamar; two sisters, Connie (Leo) Boehmer, North Augusta, SC and Lisa Lamar, Augusta, GA..

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the 1961 North Augusta High School Championship Football Team. Active Pallbearers will be members of the Posey Funeral Directors Staff.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Wednesday evening from 5 until 7.
