Margot (Jütte) Robinson

Margot Jütte Robinson, born February 21, 1928, of Easley passed away Friday, September 8, 2017.

Born in Simmershausen near Kassel, Germany, Mrs. Robinson was a daughter of the late Johann August and Wilhelmine Katharina Mathilde Eberhardt Jütte. She was educated in German schools and served as an interpreter for the United States Armed Services at Rothwesten Air Force Base, Germany following World War II. Together with her husband, she was instrumental in the management and operations of their family businesses, Robinson's, Robinson Funeral Homes and Robinson Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Women of the Church, her Circle, and various church committees. She was a member of the Easley Better Homes Club, Nosegay Garden Club, and The Carillon Dance Club.

Surviving are her husband, Alfred Burgess Robinson; two daughters, Corinne Margot Mauldin and Caroline Jütte Robinson Fleming (Peter); two sons, Alfred Burgess Robinson, Jr. (Sallie) and Christopher Payne Robinson; one sister, Waltraud Jütte Howe; and eight grandchildren, Mary Catherine Mauldin Hadaway, Charles Hubbard Hadaway, III, Eliza Cunningham Fleming, Peter Wallace Fleming, IV, Alfred Burgess Robinson, III, Evelyn Frances Robinson, Anna Eberhardt Robinson and John Wickliffe Robinson.

Mrs. Robinson was predeceased by her first husband, Captain William Kennedy Mauldin who was missing in action during the Korean Conflict and later declared dead; a son, William Kennedy Mauldin II; and a granddaughter, Martha Robinson Fleming.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00PM - 2:45PM at Robinson Funeral Home, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, and also following the Committal Service.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. The Committal Service will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
