Bobby J. “Bob” Hill passed away Monday, November 25, 2013. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Ralph James and Selma Lee Hill. He was a member of St. David Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Men. Bob was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Greenville Tec. and the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. He was a funeral director and embalmer at Barr-Price Funeral Homes, retired from Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Services for Bobby J. “Bob” Hill, 79, will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday at St. David Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Laurence officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Greenville, SC. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Judy Roper Hill, sister-in-law, Katie Gilreath, brother-in-law, Richard Roper (Linda), nephew, Tony Gilreath (Clara), niece, Kathy Hogg (Kenneth), great nephews, Jeremy Gilreath (Rheannon), Johnathon Gilreath and Shane Hogg, great niece, Krista Gilreath, great-great-nephew, Eric Gilreath.
