Carol Stokes Hunter, 92, of Easley, beloved wife of the late Fred Garvin Hunter, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Alta McDonald Stokes.
Carol was a graduate of Easley High School, Anderson College, and Draughon's Business College. She spent her entire career of 40 years with First National Bank, now TD Bank, in Easley. She was also an active member of Easley First Baptist Church.
Surviving is her son, G. Stokes Hunter, and his wife, Shelia of Easley; two grandsons, Stewart Hunter and his wife, Erin, of Pickens, and Seth Hunter and his wife, Emily, of Easley; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Charlie, Madilyn, and Mason Hunter.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Anita Stokes Basinger.
The family would like to give a special “Thank you” to the staff of Clemson Downs Skilled Nursing for the outstanding care they provided to Carol over the past year.
A graveside service will be 11:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025, in Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum in Pickens, with Reverend Dr. John Adams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorials be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 123 W. Antrim Drive, Greenville, SC 29607 or VIA Health Partners Hospice, 1003 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
The family will be at their respective homes.
