Christine Brown Watson

Christine Brown Watson, 93, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 25, 1923 in Britton's Neck, a daughter of the late Rufus Erastus and Sarah Hucks Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jake A. Watson; one son, Royce Watson; two son-in-laws, Wade Hankins and Mack Dusenbury; six sisters, Lena Johnson, Eula White, Lorine Eason, Katie Jo Cox, Thelma Everett and Virginia Cox.

Christine was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a close friend to many. She was a faithful member of Nebo Baptist Church and very involved with the WMU and Woodman for Life. She was a pillar of the community and was loved by all. She enjoyed shopping, new clothes, flowers, and spending time with family and friends. The brothers and sisters would like to thank our brother James for the loving care that he has given to her throughout her life.

Ms. Christine is survived by ten children; Ralph Watson (Jeanette) of Hanahan, Geraldine Hankins of Myrtle Beach, Anne Dusenbury of PA, Joe Watson (Diane) of Britton's Neck, James Watson of Britton's Neck, Camilla Lovell (Mike) of Moncks Corner, Gwen James (Johnny) of Britton's Neck, Barry Watson (Carol) of Conway, Mitchel Watson (Jerri) of Hanahan and Wayne Watson (Sandra) of Dillon; one daughter-in-law, Susie Watson; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren and many other family and friends who will miss her.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Watson Funeral Services from 6pm until 8pm.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Wednesday July 20, 2016 at Nebo Baptist Church with Rev. Luford Pope officiating.

Burial will follow in church cemetery.
