Clyde W. Oswald

Services for Clyde William Oswald, 86, will be conducted 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at Wittenberg Lutheran Church with the Rev. Michael Sherman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wittenberg Lutheran Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 3447, B-L, SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel are conducting arrangements.
Mr. Oswald passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014. Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late John Washington and Elizabeth Busbee Oswald. He was a member of Wittenberg Lutheran Church and retired as the service/repairman with Economy Furniture Co. after 44 A½ years of service.
Surviving are his children, Fred Oswald of Lexington, Sheryl (Landis) Price of B-L, and Renee (David) Girvan of Meadville, PA; brother, Earl Oswald of Leesville; grandchildren, Heather (Sam) Kanipe, Carissa (Robbie) Ellison, Lan Price, Julie (Jon) Rogers, Ryan and Declan Girvan; 6 great-grandchildren and his long time buddy, Dudley. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Anne Warner Oswald, brothers, John Fletcher, James, and Elmer Oswald, sisters, Eunice Smith and Gertrude Norris. The family would like to thank his exceptional caregivers at home and the staff of NHC Lexington for their love and care during Dad’s illness.
