Harriet Healey McAfee

Harriet Healey McAfee, 81, wife of Thomas Franklin McAfee III, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015.

Harriet attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Greenville High School in 1952. She continued to keep in touch with her high school friends through the 1952 Greenville High "Lunch Bunch". Harriet was a very devoted member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and supported many charitable endeavors. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Thomas F. McAfee IV and his wife, Lois, of Greenville; William H. McAfee of Anderson, and John F. McAfee and his wife, Preston, of Greenville; three sisters, Joan Healey Fricke of Knoxville, TN, Nancy Healey Smith of Newton, IA, and Marilyn Healey Gleaton and her husband, Joe, of Greenville; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann McAfee, Thomas F. McAfee V, John F. "Jay" McAfee, and C. Allen McAfee. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen M. McAfee.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to her caregivers, Joyce King, Nancy Black, Tangie Carter and Shanyron Forward.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 24, 2015 at noon at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow in Springwood Cemetery.
