Lillian Gordon Obituary

Lillian Queen Gordon, 95, passed away Monday, February 21st, 2022, at her residence.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the widow of Floyd Scott Gordon Sr. and the daughter of the late Roddy George Queen and Eunice "Unie" Powell Queen. Mrs. Gordon retired from Winn-Dixie Stores and had a sewing shop, This and That, where she did alterations and sewing. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was the last surviving sibling in her family.

Mrs. Gordon is survived by her sons, Scott Gordon and wife, Linda, of Blacksburg and Michael Gordon and wife, Dale, of Marion; her daughter, Cathy Gordon of the home; 13 grandchildren, Matthew Gordon, Amanda Gordon Gilfillan, Adam Gordon, Shawn Gordon Holmes, Dillion Gordon, Zackary Gordon, Dustin Gordon, Crissy Miller, Bo Guy, Lee Gordon, Graham Gordon, Julie Carroll, and Jeff Guy; and 26 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James "Jimmy" Gordon, her great-grandson, Justice Jackson, and her siblings, Alvin "Jack" Queen, Tom Queen, Willie "Bunk" Queen, Elsie Johnson, and Wilma Raines.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 24, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church, 216 Macedonia Road, Gaffney, SC . Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Terry Duvall and Rev. Bryon McIntyre officiating. Entombment will follow at Frederick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Bo Guy, Jackie Queen, Bernard Smalley, Matt Gordon, Mike Gordon, and Scott Gordon will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 403 West Montgomery Street, Gaffney SC 29340. .

The family will be at the residence.
