Linda (Jones) Lowe

Linda Jones Lowe, age 79, wife of Kenneth W. Lowe, of Anderson, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at The Rainey Hospice House. Linda flew out of her riddled brain, left Alzheimer's on the hospice bed, and was given ultimate freedom.

Born in Elberton, GA, on February 18, 1945, she was the only child of the late C.B. Jones, and the late Helen Edwards Jones.

Linda graduated from T.L. Hanna High School, class of 1963. She was a graduate of Forrest College, and worked in the family business, Lowe & Company, P.A.

Linda was an active member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Anderson for over 50 years, where she sang in the sanctuary choir, and was active in many facets of church life.

She loved to bake and spent countless hours with her grandchildren making “Maw Maw Cookies”. Linda was always faithful to send a card or cake for the special occasions in the lives of her family and friends.

On July 23, 1966, she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth W. Lowe. Linda and Ken loved to travel, and saw the world together on multiple international trips. They also enjoyed hundreds of getaways to their condo in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Above all, Linda was a loving wife, mother, and “Maw Maw” to her grandchildren. She truly had a servants heart and exuded the love of Christ every day. She held no prestigious positions. She won no awards. But she was dedicated to her family and was truly the wind beneath our wings. She was a precious, loving, gentle, and beautiful lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth W. Lowe, their children, Chuck Lowe, and his wife Donna Marcaurelle Lowe, Kristi Lowe Campbell, and her husband Patrick Campbell, and Jason Lowe, and his wife Kelli Jo Lowe, along with her grandchildren, Brittany Lowe, Tyler Lowe, Mac Martin, and Samuel Lowe.

She lived her last few years as a child again. She loved her dolls that gave her comfort every day. We are so blessed that she was happy and joyful until the very end.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Forest Hill Baptist Church, 909 Plantation Road, Anderson, SC, 29621. Rev. Dr. David Gallamore and Rev. Tom Owen will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.

A visitation will be held from 6pm until 8pm, Monday, March 25, 2024, at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC, 29625.
