Manuel Stephen Bowen

Manuel Stephen Bowen, 66, died April 17, 2016 at his home. A native of Greenville, son of the late Leon Bowen and Vermell Bowen Rogers, he was an employee of Wood Mortuary, a US Army Veteran and a member of Pacolet Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra "Sandy" Bridges Bowen of the home; one son, Rev. Chad Bowen (Wendy) of Tryon, NC; one daughter, Stephanie Bowen (Wes) of Simpsonville; three sisters, Gail Burroughs of Liberty, Stanley McCall of Duncan and Toni Ebert of Gainesville, GA and four grandchildren, Belle, Rylie, Emma and Jana. Mr. Bowen was predeceased by one brother, Kenneth Bowen.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Chad Bowen and Rev. Keith Kelly. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mahaffey, Wayne Bridges, Austin Bridges, Colin Bridges, Joey Fowler and Wes Stevens. Honorary escort will be the employees of Wood Mortuary. Visitation will be held 12:00-1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
