Penny Lou (Caulder) Dixon

Mrs. Penny Lou Caulder Dixon, age 58, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Pine Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Mark Phillips, Reverend Jackie Hinson, Phillip Caulder, Jr., and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, June 18, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dixon was born November 12, 1962 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Phillip Caston “P.C.” Caulder, Sr. and Betty Lou Brown Caulder. She was a 1981 graduate of Chesterfield High School and received her associate’s degree in Secretarial Science from Chesterfield – Marlboro Technical College in 1983. Penny was member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she served as former church secretary and Sunday school teacher. She was a former office manager with Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home with over 18 years of service and a former employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing. A lady with a larger-than-life personality, Penny was a true people person who never met a stranger and always had a smile. To know her was to love her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dixon was also preceded in death by a sister, Pat Caulder Thompson; and her beloved “Pa -T,” Thomas H. Davis.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 38 years and love of her life, Cotton Dixon of the home; son, Richie (Kimberly) Dixon of Camden, SC; brother, Phillip C. (Yetive) Caulder, Jr. of Chesterfield, SC; sisters, Sissy (Harold) Adams of Chesterfield, SC, and Peggy (Rev. Howard) Harding of Laurinburg, NC; daughters of the heart, Teresa “T.C.” Gaskins, Blair (Brian) Waters and their children, Wren, Charlie, and Cal; brother of the heart, Tommy (Shirley) Davis of Ruby, SC; sister of the heart, Tillie (Richard) Scott of Patrick SC; brothers-in-law, Terry Thompson of Florence, SC, Randy Dixon of Patrick, SC, and Gene (Katie) Dixon of Jefferson, SC; sister-in-law, Missy Shaw of Shallotte, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, (Debt Retirement Fund) 293 Zoar Road, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
