Raymond George DeRienzo Sr

Mr. Raymond George DeRienzo Sr., 71, of Bamberg, passed away at his home Wednesday, April 22, 2015. He was the son of the late Hector Jr. and Frieda DeRienzo.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015, in Bamberg County Memory Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at the graveside. The Rev. Donnie Delk, the Rev. Charlie Lucas and the Rev. Kelley Shanks will be officiating.

Raymond loved fishing, drag racing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 50 years.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Kimberly F. DeRienzo ; three sons, Raymond G.(LaVerne) DeRienzo Jr. of Bamberg, Andrew S.(Shannon) DeRienzo of Lexington, and Clifford A. (Christina) DeRienzo of Lexington, and a daughter, Alei Grace Formby of Bamberg; a brother, Hector J. (Sheri) DeRienzo of Mooresville, North Carolina; two nephews, Jimmy (Stacey) McMillan of Deland, Florida, and Blake DeRienzo of Mooresville; a niece, Olivia Neeley; seven grandchildren, Anna, Reedy, Ryan, Isabella, Tyler, Emily Kate and Cameron DeRienzo; sisters-in-law Lyn Hudgens of Grass Valley, California, and Kay F.(Jeff) Neeley; and a special friend, his dog Patches. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, June DeRienzo.

Raymond wanted to say, "Thank you to all that prayed."
