Rev. Michael Leon Gadsden

Reverend Michael Leon Gadsden, 38, entered into the joy of the Lord on Monday, April 10, 2017. Michael was a funeral director at Dorothy’s Home For Funerals and a security guard at Signal Security. Michael was the beloved son of Barbara Gadsden and Leonard L. Nelson; grandson of Evangelist Rosalie Gadsden and Mrs. Barbara V. Nelson; brother of Mshinda Brown (Eugene); uncle of Kylon Joshua Middleton; special cousin of Desiree Johnson; nephew of a host of aunts and uncles. He also leaves a host of cousins, other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends at 1345 S. Sherwood Dr. Services for Rev. Gadsden will be private. A public memorial service will be forth coming. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Holy Rock Baptist Church, 2111 Rondo St., Charleston, SC 29414.
