Ronald E. Wingard

Ronald E. Wingard, 40, of West Columbia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He was the son of Nancy Carder Harman and Claude K. Harman and the late Donald T. Wingard. Ron was employed by George's Southside Restaurant of Cayce.

He is survived by his son, Austin E. Wingard; brothers, Donald T. Wingard, Chris C. Harman; sister, Julia W. Roebuck; step-brother, Chip Harman along with many friends, aunts, uncles & cousins. He is also survived by his very special friend and companion, Cindy Colman. He was predeceased by grandparents, Carl & Margaret Carder and Junior & Julie Corder Wingard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201 or a charity of one's choice.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will greet friends 5-6 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home. Rev. Tim Rogers will officiate.
