Shirley Ann Hudson Gibson

Shirley Ann Hudson Goodwin, 75, wife of Broadus Goodwin for 55 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Mrs. Goodwin was born in Simpsonville to the late Toy L. Hudson Sr. and Louise Burdette Hudson. She retired from Cryovac and worked many years at Honea Path Shirt Company. She was a member of Fairview Street Baptist Church and attended Fountain Inn First Baptist Church. Shirley enjoyed water skiing, taking trips with Broadus on their trike motorcycle, and sewing. The thing most dear to her heart was being a Nanny to her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Kay Rice and Donna Suttles; two brothers, Ed Hudson, and Johnny Hudson and wife Sue; two sisters, Mary Lou Coley, and Jo Murdock and husband Joe; four grandchildren, Jason Kott and wife Lauren, Ashley Kott-Brown and fiancAC. Anthony Doll, Adam Suttles and fiancAC. Liz Pellicano, and Rebekah Suttles; five great-grandchildren, Kylee, Kamryn, Will, Kaycee, and Kadyann. Also surviving are Angie and Troy Bargeron, and Michael and Peggy Barton. She was predeceased by three brothers, Junior Hudson, Charles Hudson, Don Hudson; and four sisters, Bobbie Craft, Stella Barton, Judy Moser, and Brenda Hudson.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Street Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Roscoe Wilson. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Cannon Memorial Park.
