Terry “Ted” Geder Todd, 51, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020, at McLeod Loris Hospital with his loving wife by his side. He was born August 6, 1968 in Conway, a son of the James E. Todd and the late Helen Elvis Todd.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his siblings, Debra Todd Smith, Patricia “Patsy” Todd Cox and James Randy Todd.
What can you say about Terry “Ted” Todd? Anybody who knew him, knew he was funny, could give as good or better than he got, a rock to so many people and the voice of an angel. He was a devoted family man, who loved his family unconditionally. You never knew what he was going to say next and kept everybody on their toes. If you needed him he was just a phone call away. Ted was a hard worker, whether he was at Pee Dee Elementary as cafeteria manager or at Watson Funeral Services as a funeral assistant. He also was the owner of Todd’s Cleaning Service. Ted was a member of Free Worship Freewill Baptist of Pentecostal Faith Church, where he served as secretary and treasurer. The church will miss Ted playing the piano, singing and worshiping his Lord and Savior for over thirty-four years. Ted and Michelle cooked for the church conference headquarters for over twenty-eight years. A loving son, brother, husband, father, pa’s and friend, he will be greatly missed.
Ted is survived by his loving and devoted wife of twenty-eight years, Michelle Johnson Todd; children, Terry “Ryan” Todd (Allison Bratcher) and Jeremy “Blake” Todd (Jenna Adkins); sister, Jeanette Todd Cannon (Rev. Gregg); his grandchildren who affectionately called him Pa’s, Karson Briggs Todd and Kallee Rae Todd; his aunt who was like a second mom, Patricia Todd (LG); two brother-in-laws, Billy Cox and Frankie Smith; one sister-in-law, Patricia Freeman Todd and many other family and friends who will miss him.
The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Services Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 5pm until 8pm.
Funeral Services will be held 4pm Monday, February 24, 2020 at Free Worship Freewill Baptist of Pentecostal Faith Church with Rev. Gregg Cannon, Rev. Stacey Floyd, Rev. Arthur McElveen and Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
